Brown ribbon safe on a Pony?
« on: November 10, 2013, 01:40:53 PM »
So I randomly got a dark brown ribbon around a sack of candy. I took the ribbon off and thought maybe I'd tie it around a yellow Pony's neck as a bandanna, because I'd been wanting a brown bandanna since he's representing a character who wears one. But then I got wondering ... is there a chance the ribbon might fade off on the Pony over time?

Is it a plastic ribbon or a fabric one? If it's fabric you could probably colorfast it in a solution of water, vinegar and table salt so the dye doesn't bleed, but if it's plastic I have no idea.

It's fabric. Thanks for the suggestion!

This :)

Just make sure to rinse it in hot water and leave it to dry on something like white kitchen towels in order to double check its fast :)
