I'm not sure you can always lighten that discoloration, you might try dipping her ear tips in an oxy-clean bath for a while? Try not to get her hair in the oxy though, red especially is known to bleed...

Its going to depend on what the brown is caused by. If magic eraser is not working then acetone and eucalyptus oil wont either. Have you tried a good old fashioned scrub?

And unfortunately if none of these work nor the oxy, you are going to have to sun fade. Its nothing to worry about, just read the tutorials and in fact its less risky than using chemicals on a pony. Just make sure to cover everything you dont want to fade as well as check the pony regularly to ensure it does not burn in colour.

If all other things don't work you can always make her a cute Santa hat or make some cute antlers to wear!  Or you can make her some clip on pony earrings with things like mistletoe or other cute holiday related items dangling from them.

When you say the G3 pony has is broken do you mean it's been cut or shortened?  If so you can reroot it.  Pictures of the ponies might help with an answer. :)

Only way to fix a ponies hair that has been cut is to either reroot the pony or to trim it a little more and just be happy with it how it is.

If part of the problem you have is that the hair is a little dry or wild first I'd recommend you condition the hair with warm water.  I actually use hot water with my g3's.  First I wet the hair, then add conditioner.  I brush the hair with the conditioner in it and then rinse it out.  Then I brush the hair with it wet and wrap the main around the ponies neck and the tail around the leg (some people might wrap something around the leg or neck with the hair to keep it in place).  If your pony's hair is still wild and very dry you can find some tutorials around here in the arena for using a hair straightener.

If anything if it were my ponies I maybe trim any super long hairs and try to make it at least the same length and then condition the hair.  You could also pull out any super short hairs that will stick out awkwardly if there isn't too many of them that you would notice they are gone.

Good luck!  Post pictures if you have a pony spa picture update. :)

Its hard to tell from photographs but the hair looks ok to me now just a little wild. I recommend you simply dampen it and style it into position and allow to air dry.

The recommendations here are really the only options - have you tried all of them?

I'm not sure where you are but Vanish Oxy Action is similar to Oxy Clean. Good luck with it...

so the fabric softener didn't work.
the problem is I think the hair had been cut because it's tangled at the end and the tangles won't come out.
thanks again for your help everyone!

Have you tried using a flat iron on the ends of the hair? You need to ensure the hair is wet, only do very small sections at a time and dont allow the heat to build up too much.
