Also, Japan doesn't really have a big thrift/second hand culture.  So most toys are thrown away if they're thought to be not valuable. That probably accounts for why most didn't make it into collections. 

I agree I don't remember seeing many secondhand shops when I was there. If only I knew about these at the time

I feel like a lot of super high value pony sales happen "behind the scenes", so it's not always easy to search sale threads to get a price check. If someone is seeking a $2,000+ pony, they typically know who owns it & go direct to that person to talk about sale details.

That's is right

It can be very hard to PC a very rare pony for this very reason.

Ohhhh noooo. They go for a lot more than $1000.
Around $3000 and up is about what tge past ones have sold for.
They are Very very hard to come by and are extremely sought after.
There are probably fewer than 10 in the community.

I can confirm this, as I have probably put in offers for almost all but one of the ones that have been advertised on this site for the past few years.  And of course, 2 of my girls came from Ember1.

I thought I usually tried to mention $3k+ when people ask for a PC...

And that one that I didn't get to put in an offer on-- it was because the person ended it extremely early. I would of easily offered $3k+ for it had I the opportunity (and I believe another member here as well would of done the same).

Which one are you referring to Bandit as I don't recall many adults for advetised sale on here. Most
sales occur privately as was already stated.
