Stupid Postal Service

Okay, ever since I have moved into my apartment many months ago I have been having this problem, even though I filled out the resident card and stuff, the mail lady still puts my mail in other peoples' mail boxes!! My neighbors upstairs are very shady people and have already admitted to my landlord that there was a package for me in their mailbox and since I didn't come knock for it they kept it! I am trying to get charges filled on them but because the landlord and them have been friends for about 20 years landlord won't repeat what he told me to the police. So I had my mail forwarded to my po box permanently, of course that didn't work out. I am waiting on several trade packages that should have been here Monday at the latest, but when I went to check my po box I had nothing. And the tracking number for the one said it was delivered to a mail box here, which my mailbox is empty. I had my boyfriend go ask all our neighbors yesterday and they all said they haven't gotten anything in their mail for anyone else. I'm pulling my hair out I don't know what to do!

I'm not sure if this link is the best one to use or not but it was the first one in my search.

What they are doing is illegal by keeping or tampering with your mail.  You should also contact your local post office and talk to the head person to let them know that your mail carrier is not properly putting your mail into your box and that other people receiving your mail are tampering and keeping it.

I'm not sure if this is something you should just file with the post office or also with the police as well.  You might want to ask your local police if they are able to help you with this situation.

Thanks for that link! I did file a complaint not only against them but also against the post office, because I had talked to my local post master about this problem a long time ago, so I took it up with the district post office. The police said they couldn't help without evidence or without my landlord telling them what my neighbors had said. But things seem to be working out now, finally got mail in my PO box today.

Wow sounds like you're going through a real bad time with your post/neighbours!  how worrying! and its frustrating that no-one seems to be doing much to help you even though you reported whats been happening. I wish I had some better advice for you but I cant think of anything else at the moment

Wow that sounds super frustrating..I'm not really a fan of the post office either personally. We have a gated yard (we have dogs) which includes the front yard. Well we don't mind people coming in and dropping packages, the dogs are nice and won't hurt anyone (one is blind and super old). Well they started coming and dropping packages and just leaving the gate open which let my dogs out. Well being that I don't want my dogs hit by a car I called the post to complain and ask them just to leave the gate as they found out. Well they decided to be complete jerks about it and said since its such a problem they won't go through the gate anymore unless they see us out there. So now the only time they'll deliver packages here is when they see us waiting....
