Recent Pony Encounters

Last week, while I was standing outside of work waiting for my brother in law to help my car battery become revived, I saw someone on their way in wearing a dark blue shirt with Dr. Whooves on it. I saw this person again after I got off work and it dawned on me that it must be a third shift coworker which was neat.

Then today, my husband had a dental appointment and I wore my Fluttershy shirt and a teenage girl who was in there said, "Fluttershy! I like your shirt!" Thought that was pretty nifty.

Anyone else have recent tales like this?

Unfortunately I have never bumped into any random pony people!

A couple of weeks ago, I visited a small, family-owned thrift store near my parents' house. The store was closed when I got there, with a "Be back soon" sign in the window.

After about ten minutes of waiting, the store's owner returned to open the store. She was accompanied by her 7- or 8-year-old daughter, who was carrying Windy and Blueberry Baskets in her arms. Both of them were noticeably dirty, had serious haircuts, and BB seemed to be missing her tail, but she seemed to love them just the way they were. It was a really touching thing to see.

I just went to our convenience store and I was wearing my Game of Thrones tshirt. The guy behind the counter struck up a conversation with me and it moved into 80s toys, I brought up MLP and he goes "Yea, Rainbow Dash, Brony, all that."

I just stopped and went "Pegasister. I get it."

On Saturday I checked out a man that was wearing a Dr. Whooves and t-shirt at work A few minutes later he came back to buy more stuff with his wife and two kids. It was awesome seeing another pony person in real life

I work in a childrens' clothing store and one of the dads was wearing a G1 "Ponies Forever" shirt. I told him I was a collecter and had the same shirt he was wearing. He thought it was pretty cool that I collected and said that his daughters were really into the FiM show and the G4 toys. It was pretty cool.

OMG! So tonight, I was at the Face-Off Fest (which is a local gathering for fans of the local hockey team in Anaheim, the Ducks!), and the announcer was going through the event, just casually talking to folks on the loudspeaker, as you do. So he comes to our area, and he starts saying we can get almost anything signed - pucks, hockey sticks, cookware from the kitchen, someone even got their arm signed!

So I lift up my Pinkie Pie, and I said I was getting HER signed. And he looks at it, and goes, "A My Little Pony? Oh no, I better not let it get too close to me!" And we all laugh, and then he puts the mic down and says, "So is this a ... Brony thing?"

And I go, "YOU KNOW ABOUT BRONIES?!" @.@

And he says, "Of course I do, I'm in the media! We know these things!"

Needless to say, I educated him VERY briefly on the fact that a non-Brony pony fan demographic exists!!

Here's my signed Pinkie Pie, btw! Ideally, I'd have taken a Styling Rarity, but I haven't seen any for sale in aaaaaages.
