How do you see each generation....
« on: October 07, 2013, 06:08:38 AM »
and does it effect how you display them???????

For example for me

G1: I think because this is the generation I grew up with it makes me go totally traditional with how I do their hair.  bringing back memories I guess.

G2: I only see seem to manage to have one style with them. (trying to keep their manes down)

G3: they are like teens for me their expressions seem really playful. though most of mine have experimental hair it has being known to take me three attempts to give them a style I like.

G4: I struggle with these I cannot bring myself to cut their hair but like them to have more different styles with their body style being so generic.

Ummm, this due to my wild and over active imagination ^^;
G1s are brutal :P there's copies of the same pony (ex: Twilight, Argentinian Twilight, French Twilight, Greek Twilight and so forth...) They come at you with a full army force.  :scared:

G2s (weren't they the smallest generation?  :wonder:) Anyways, due to their skinny and frail size, they are even more aggressive and will protect their space at any cost.

G3s are most likely the nicest generation since they let G4s share their home  :)

G4s....I call em, "Little Ponies"...  :P

Ya, i'm a bit coo-coo

I don't have any G1s or G2s (yet) only G3s and G4s...I display them by seasons and if a pony doesn't seem to match a season (ex: Zecora) I'll make em a Nomad :P
Oh no!

For me, I always prefer a pony - no matter the generation - to be styled how they were released :) So in that way I  am a little strict as to who has curls and who has straight hair. And I dont change from generation to generation.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

G1: Are very special to me, they have there own Curio Cabinet. They have the nice big one to. :)

G2: Don't have any of them yet in my collection. Not sure yet if I want to get any yet?

G3: They also have there own Curio Cabinet and are starting to move over to the third one. I have a lot of NIB G3 ponies to. I love them all, but some of them are funny looking.

G4: I have one self in the third curio cabinet that has the loose one. The rest of them are NIB. They are in one open bookcase and one another custom self thing that they all fit on.  :)

G1s, to me are the most valuable, the most beautiful and the most desireable. I color-code them, display them in different "scenes" and ensure they look their best.
G2s, as I only have two (they are childhood ponies) are ranked along with my G1s but don't get the spotlight.
G3s have residence on my bookshelf. They are not as worshiped as my G1s so they are not really in my collection area.
G4s, sit on top of a little dresser, along with my more delicate ponies or customs. (Sculpted parts, flutterponies, etc) They are kept in good appearance but not a lot of thought is put into how they are positioned.

The highlights of my collection are my MOC Firefly, my Escape from Catrina animation cel, and my favorite line of G1s (rainbow ponies) they are featured in a display together on one wall. MOC Firefly hangs from a nail, the framed animation cel is below it, and the rainbow ponies stand on top of the very large, fancy frame.

Basically... almost all are displayed the same way on my toy-shelves XD

G1's occupy most of my display space, and they deserve even more space!

G2's: Share space with some nirvanas, but basically are together taking force with numbers =)

G3's:  Almost all are secluded in my closet -.-  Need more space to display them... the ones out are invading my G1 Mexicans space -.-

G4's:  The fewer I have, I like them, their size makes them amazing to display in small places, including the FS!
