So I was looking for G1 babies on ebay and I saw this lot of 3 absolutely gorgeous babies and I noticed that it shows that seller is part of the evil GSP, however her listing clearly states US shipping only. So I sent a message inquiring as to whether or not she shipped outside of the US and pointed out that it shows that she does but her listing says she doesn't.

She responded back saying that she does NOT ship outside the US.

However that was ages ago, and she still hasn't changed her listing to reflect that she won't ship outside of the US.

I just thought I would mention it, I know we have the baby swap going on right now, and there are lots of members who still buy on ebay, so that way people are aware.

It's listed as: My Little Pony Vintage Lot G1 babies

Also I was wondering what happens in a situation where a buyer bids or buys something on ebay and the seller refuses to ship to them? I've never been in that situation, nor would I willingly put myself in that situation.

I guess the buyer has to ask someone on the arena from that country for help then! :P Hehe

I love how this community is so supportive of one another! :D

If you mistakenly bid on something that the seller wont ship you may wind up with a really bad review. I did it once mistakenly. The add showed one price for shipping which was reasonable so I bid. Then found out latter that seller wouldnt ship to Canada. I emailed the seller before the auction ended and she said she would price shipping to Canada. After I had won the auction I tried to pay for the purchase a number of times but was blocked. I emailed the seller and she didnt respond for days. When she finally did respond she said it was too expensive to ship and she was going to re-list. I appologized for the mix up and thought everything was fine. A few weeks later i got dinged for a non-payment and got a really bad buyer review from the seller.

I think if they are signed up for the GSP, and it shows that on their auction, they don't have a choice. If they refuse to ship I'm sure you would get a full refund. But it may be that if they are using the GSP they don't think of it as shipping internationally. After all, when they are sending the package off, they're not shipping it internationally - they're sending it to a US address and then its forwarded on. They honestly may not even be aware that international bidders can buy their items because ebay takes care of all of that for them. If you were to win the item, the seller would be given a US address to send it to.

MikeysGrrl that was me you asked. I usually write in my listing that I won't ship outside the US because I don't like to fill out customs forms at the post office. I have a toddler and he doesn't sit or stand still for a minute:) I also find it's expensive to ship outside the US and I always under-charge and end up paying out of my pocket.
I didn't even realize that there was a GSP section to specify I only ship in the US. It is my mistake though so I will ship to you if you'd still like them.

Oh no  I apologize, I wasn't aware that you were a member of the arena, I just wanted to let other members know that if they were interested in the listing they would need a US member to purchase it on their behalf.

I only even bothered to mention it on here because of the baby swap going on and the overwhelming amount of members currently seeking babies.

I just kind of assumed that you didn't know that your listing actually states that you DO ship worldwide and provides shipping amounts and details (that's why I sent you the message on ebay).

I wasn't trying to cause a fuss or anything by posting in the arena.

Although I don't have children I can understand how difficult it can be to do daily activities while looking after a young one.

You can pick up those customs forms and take them home and fill them out, saving you time at the PO. Plus, you can pull up the USPS website online and get a good idea of the price of shipping to Canada if you have an idea of the weight.

No worries:) Like I said I wasn't even aware that there was a section I need to fill out about international shipping. Now I know so I'm glad you told me. My mistake though so if you want them, they're yours:)
Bluerose, I wasn't aware of that-thanks!

Yeah, that's what I do. I fill out all the little sheets at home and hand off the package and the sheets to my shipping person and then the magic happens.
