Did anyone here play Glitch?

Glitch was a really amazing, inventive, magical game which was, sadly, shut down last winter due to lack of funds for the team to keep it running. (It was free to play; real money was only useful for outfits and decorations for your house, and they would have needed something like $500,000 a month to keep it going as it was.)

There was gorgeous scenery, beautiful, beautiful music, inventive storylines and quests, and most of all, an absolutely wonderful community. My first day in-game I was so shocked. People greeted me whenever I entered an area, welcomed me to the game, and gave me a bunch of special items to help me out. And best of all, Glitch rewarded its players for helping each other. Working together always yielded better results.

It was literally a game of imagination and ridiculousness and I miss it so often. I pitched in on indiegogo for both the artbook and the soundtrack (which will hopefully be here this winter) so I can always have a piece of the world with me.

Did anyone else here play? It probably sounds really silly, but I cry every time I think about it. It was just a beautiful thing, and it helped me realize what I want to do with my life.

For fun, here are pictures of the individual streets (Nottis, Ilmenskie, and Uralia were some of my favorites. I spent a ton of time mining in Ilmenskie Deeps with a group of great people, and in Nottis listening to the sad winter music.)

I'm just always looking for people to reminisce with and cry to about how pretty everything was.

I played! A friend was more into it than I was, but we had some fun. I remember getting on skype with friends and playing while on a voice call, that was the best. I went looking through my screenshots folder just now, and I don't have much...but have a thing!

I miss Glitch so bad. :C Some of my favorite areas were Balzare, May Soup (which is where I was at shutdown, with a bunch of others), and Rasana (which my home street was modeled after).

I only got to play for a few months, but it was definitely one of the friendliest communities I've ever been a part of.

I didn't play at shutdown... v__v I told myself that I needed to get used to moving on, and that it would only make me sadder to be there at the End. But I ended up being sad either way.

(And I wish I had my old screenshots of various glitches in Glitch! I had one where I died on a street, so I turned grey and dead, and the Naraka music played, but I was still in this bright sunny flowery place.)

Aww, Cubimals! I had a couple boxes of them that I had found all over Ur... I never managed to get a full set.

I was all about emblems; I mined for so long and donated all of my Sparkly and gems to Zille because I wanted an icon of Zille. I almost bought some handmade emblems recently... I want to get one.

Hehe, I was a cook. I'd gather butterfly milk, spice, meat, and grain to make...I forget the recipe name now. But then I'd sell everything I made to buy cubis.

I only played for a short time. You know, I hadn't realized how long the game had been running until it closed. I was under the impression that it was relatively new but unfortunately did not have the funds to keep going after a few months.

I played with some close friends of mine but they lost interest quickly and it felt lonely to play by myself so I only enjoyed it for a little while. Still, it was a beautiful game. I wish there were more like it.
