I'm trying to calculate some items for shipping and they hit the 3 pound mark which has made the shipping super high. I see there is an option to send them standard post? That is cheaper and has it where I can add insurance and sig confirmation. I'm having trouble finding more information about it, and I'm confused by all these changes. What exactly is Standard post shipping? Does it come with tracking or any insurance of it's own? How come I have to take it in and cannot print postage online? Confusion!  The few links I clicked didn't explain it very well and want to make sure it's a good option before I give buyers quotes and figure out I picked the wrong option.

Standard Post replaced Parcel Post, let's see back in the spring time or before.  It's basically the same thing. This link should tell you all you need to know about insurance and what not.

I mailed a small package today by Standard Post and my receipt says its expected to reach its destination on Monday the 16th. Comes with tracking but no insurance I believe.
