Yay, it finally rained today! Lol it cooled down for a little bit, then got hot again! Im sad because I have been meaning to release my mantis friend from a while ago, and the weather has been too dramatic for him to be released in the wild to survive! I saw a bunch of dead grackles in the park, off the side of the road, and in a feild as we were walking to the bank. Yeah so if birds are possibly dying from the heat...poor mantis I cant release him yet! T_T He has molted a few times since I took him into my care, he is bigger now! I took a picture of him a few minutes ago, lol he is still eating under the fog machine. You can tell he had grown a bunch from his color change, he gets more camo splotches each time he molted!

I no longer live in Texas, sadly, so I cannot comment.  It was always still pretty hot this time of year in Houston, though.
