To put it short, I ordered an item on Amazon from a seller who had '10' of the item in stock. I ordered it on the 26th (in the night hours) and it stayed stuck on the 'shipping' status until this morning (Aug 30). I then got an email while at work telling me my order was cancelled due to an error in inventory count and I wasn't charged for the order..

Due to this I'm not sure how to even leave feedback on them.. because I never received my order, plus they still have the listing up saying there is stock from that seller.

What would you guys suggest?

First impression, I'll leave neutral.

But, I'll try contacting the seller, asking why the listing is still up if he doesn't have the product at hand (and why it took so long to find he dind't have the stock...).

Good luck!

Pretty much I did send them an email questioning why the product was still listed an all... I just hope they do respond

Let's wait for him to respond and then act accordingly to his answer.

It's weird for him to not eliminate the listing immediately when he found he didn't have the stock, but...  maybe he has computer problems relating the access to put it down?

I know its not what everyone would agree with but on Amazon, I would probably be tempted to simply not leave feedback at all. The seller probably had absolutely no intention of upsetting you and you were never charged for the item. Some of the market place sellers are reasonably large retailers and often their Amazon sales will not be linked up to stock levels which means this kind of thing can be prone to happen.

I'm probably not going to leave Feedback, they did update and take down the listing so I'm fine with that now.

Some sellers like my boss also have inventory fulfilled by Amazon and inventory fulfilled by hand by the employees and sometimes it's the same product. I know I've accidentally punched in wrong inventory numbers before.
