How to ID a (tropical) cricket?
« on: August 06, 2013, 06:35:22 AM »
I have an unusual problem... I'd like to ID a green cricket I have in a plastic container at the moment.  :lookround:

My summer job is making flower bouquets and today at work we found the cricket among some flower boxes.

Are there any webpages for IDing crickets? Or is someone here good at IDing them? The cricket might be from somewhere South America.

Thank you for any help

Oh he's interesting!  You could try sending a picture (probably a more clear picture would help) to an entomologist for help- most bug geeks are happy to help with ID mysteries.   Maybe search around on google for a website talking about So. American insects/entomology- and sending them an email?

He's very cute. The pic is a bit blurry though and that makes it a bit difficult to tell what he is.
