Ever kept a pony you bought for a swap partner?

I've kept one before - SLH Rainbow Berry, because once I'd conditioned and straightened her hair it was so silky beautiful that I couldn't let her go! She's still a firm favourite in my SLH army.

I may be keeping another one, this is going to be hard

Yes, but because I wanted my swap partner not to be disappointed.  I bought a Sherbet on ebay and when she arrived she was in far worse condition than she looked in the photo, so I gave my NM one to my swap partner and kept the baity one.  I just upgraded to a nice one again at the Fair!

I've never kept one, I was tempted but then after the box was given I got my own pony of the same description. In fact I blame the 2012 UK Ponycon swap for my CP army!  I got Cotton Candy and Bluebelle for NHN and fell in love with them, and had to buy CP ponies for myself (though I don't have Bluebelle yet)

I've never done a swap, but I *do* have a terrible time letting go of ponies that I don't already have/only have one of.  I've done it before, but it's with much mental kicking and screaming, lol.  What's weird, though, is I have very contently traded the nicer of two of the same ponies before with zero remorse.  I guess it's not so much a condition thing for me, as an individual pony thing

Maybe........  .................. though in my defence she came in a twin pack with rainbow dash that they wanted but pinkie was not mentioned so in a way it was saving a pony from potential rejection...... .......... .....

I don't even like this generation but a permanent home she has   
 And I am about to do it again as I do not think it is up to a good enough standard for my partner  but to good to bait so my collection will swallow it up instead

I have, but only because I found another that was in better condition, or that I thought my partner would appreciate more.

I am so guilty of this I bought Wingers for my swap partner in the Wings and Things swap... and ended up keeping Buzzer, Sky Dancer, High Flyer, Lady Flutter, Flurry, Whirly, and Sun Glider I had every intention of giving them to my swap partner, but I loved them too much to part with them But she did get 3 wingers and several more awesome ponies I also kept Galaxy for my first swap partner, but she had regrind and I couldn't give her away with regrind!

I generally overbuy for my partners in a swap so that if something doesn't arrive or if it is not in good enough condition, I have options.  This means that I can generally decide to keep one for each swap and still spoil my partner

Yeah I buy a whole bunch of ponies too, so that if someone arrives not up to par, or doesn't arrive in time, etc, etc.... or I just fall madly in love....

I haven't kept any ponies, but I did end up keeping an extra once because it didn't fit into the tiny box we had to use!!  Although, the last swap I was in, I was very tempted to keep a rare Argie pony, but I didn't:).  And I did fall in love with a bonus pony I sent for the Alt. Rehair swap!
