Would it offend anyone if made a "Cutie Mark/Symbol" thread for pre-FIM ponies?

Don't see that it'd matter, it's going to be non-canon anyways, given that virtually all baby (and even newborn) G1's had symbols from the get-go.  Whatever floats your boat.

Actually Ember was the first baby (or one of the firsts) to be released in the G1 line, and she had no cutie mark! In the animated special she is also seen talking to an adult, wondering what she is going to be like when she grows up... as if she hadn't discovered her talent yet because her symbol hadn't appeared!

Thus it could be said that the idea for the G4 cutie marks could have originated in the G1 time, anyway.

Princess Crystal is said to be able to see into the future and comes with a crystal ball and a wizard hat. Her symbol are two planets; I imagine she figured she could read signs of the future in stars and planets and thus found out she actually could read the future. She's got a crystal ball too because the night sky's not always available

When you mentioned Crystal... that did not appear in my head the right way. I reckon Princess Crystal (mmeeeeettthhhhh) does see things that other ponies can't. Must be one heck of a Party Pony!

I think it would be great!  You could even make it into a game thread.  Like you start a thread with a pre-fim pony of your choice, come up with a story then post which pony you want the next person to come up with a story for.
Just a random thought, that way everyone can get in on the fun!
