Rainbow Cadance BB--same hoof numbers as threepack?

I finally got around to comparing the rainbowified Cadance I got off Ebay to the normal threepack one. Here's what I found!

Same:
-Mold (obviously)
-Eyes
-Hair color/style
-Plastic color
-Numbers under hoof (both molded into the plastic rather than printed on, probably because of the painted hooves; both C-029A)

Different:
-Paint color on hooves/necklace/crown--rainbow Cadance is darker
-Cutie mark--normal Cadance's is much more delicate and detailed
-Normal Cadance's horn is painted to match her body, rainbow's is not

I can get pics if anyone's interested, but these are just preliminary observations. Thoughts?

That's interesting...I dont think it tells us much unfortunately though. While the number is a suggestion it is a Mini Figs pack rather than a blind bag that could just be because they were testing on a previous run.

I wonder if anyone has the wave 8 Cadance - out of curiosity as to what her hoof stamp is.

So, aside from the obvious paint color differences, she has the code 30631 (printed on top of the paint rather than molded) in addition to the C code, on the same hoof. Additionally, her cutie mark is different from either of them, being less detailed than the original and having a larger heart than rainbow Cadance.

I would be interested in seeing pics of all three of them Mainly because I really like that Cadence mould and have yet to grab one It's interesting she has the same number as the triple-pack but I think Hathor's point sounds plausible. How many of the "rainbow" blind bags have we seen so far? Wondering if maybe there will be seven of them as second volume to the glitter rainbow set :o

Hopefully these illustrate the differences between the three. Neon Cadance's CM looks like normal Cadance's slightly brightened up and less detailed, and rainbow Cadance's is obviously different from either one, with a smaller heart.

Its just that the patterns and designs seem too intricate to be any kind of error. So either they are using Cadance from the mini figs packs to test the print and she will eventually get a blind bag release or she is going to be part of a mini fig pack of some kind.

The "rainboom" trademark also makes me suspicious - it just all seems so coincidental. I guess we will just have to wait and see!

No problem! I agree, she's definitely not an error--most error mini ponies are combinations of paint, appliques, and plastic from other ponies. These are definitely appliques different from any we've seen before, so they're intentional--I was just thinking the lack of blind bag code pointed towards packs, like Royal Wedding Cadance. But only time will tell!
