Sweet! G3 are easy to work with and they have a nice base.

Color: Full body repaint, dye, base color that matches original pony color?
Hair: Donor, dollyhair, alternative media (yarn, perfume puff style, feathers, floss, ect.), sculpted?

Now with the color one I'm not sure what you'll want.  If you want sculpting the base color probably won't stand because they clay will need painted/sanded and it's unlikely to get a good match without the full body repaint.  However a repaint design could easily use the original base color of the pony if that's what you'd like.

Dye also looks good but the color can fade/seep over time and some ponies do not take the dye and there is a void at the seam.  Generally speaking I know I am not good with dye and I don't really like it so that will limit your artist pool if you want a dye job.
