Roughing up replacement hair?

Anyone got any tips for making replacement hair less silky? Trying to give majesty a new tail - she hasn't had one in 20 years!

Soaking the bundle in some oxi-clean for a couple of days should strip some of the oil off of the nylon. Just be careful. :D Hope this helps!
