G1s should I bait?

I got 2 g1s recently at a thrift, the white kisses pony, and mo baby stockings. Stockings has eye rubs and chew marks on the face, the kisses pony has small marks and frizzy hair but hair could be fixed. Im wanting to customize both but wanted to run it by you guys first, what do you think?

I don't know about the particular rarity of those two, but G1's tend to be big no-nos for baiting.
Although they are your ponies, it is preferred that you restore vintage ponies rather than customize.

I personally do not have the white kisses pony, whatever her name is so I would not bait her.

Baby Stockings is quite often used as bait, especially in the condition you described.

Well, they are your ponies, so no one can tell you what to do. But I always say its better to restore a G1 pony than customize, even the common ones. There are loads of fakies with G1 molds.

I don't know about Baby Stockings - seems to me I've heard she's really common, but I only got my first one within the last couple months.   But as for the White Kisses pony, if you mean this girl:

I would tend to err on the side of "no," simply because she's a later-year G1 (last year, right?) and thus, I would presume, harder to find... and also, I've never seen her in the vinyl, myself.  (And I consider that a pretty good indicator of rarity... )

Baby Stockings is dirt common and with chews, you're unlikely to find a buyer for her.  Go right ahead, sounds like an ideal bait prospect.  The Sweetheart Sister is a bit less common, not one you'd usually put in the bait category unless she's got some unfixable body damage or something.  That said, as has been mentioned - they're your ponies now.

The SHS is a rare so maybe not but then again if she can't be restored then go ahead.

But as said regardless of what anyone else says or thinks they are your ponies to with as you wish regardless of their rarity.

Perhaps you can request that your thread be moved to the customs section where people will be more supportive of the decision you make as a lot of collectors don't agree with customizing a G1 unless it looks like it's been run over.

Kisses I wouldn't as she sounds restorable, Stockings sounds like bait material to me but someone might be able to restore her.
