So last night we were supposed to go to the park because it's a summer concert series and hear some swing music. I had sworn it was the 20th, and I thought yesterday was the 20th because I had a project due the 20th and I'd turned it yesterday so I was all sorts of mixed up! We got to the park, and it was all blocked off due to a bicycle race. I was like, "Why are they doing that today!?" then we got up to the park after walking 20 minutes and....nada. No concert! Totally got the wrong day. So I decided that we would just eat out. So we go to a new mexican restaurant, and they're next door to a Jason's Deli. I'd been to that deli chain years ago and remember it was really good in Atlanta, so I was peering in at the menu because they hadn't opened yet. And lo and behold, the manager saw me, stepped out of the restaurant and handed us two "free dinner" coupons for their test night with their new staff this weekend.
So my wrong date and night turned out to get me a free dinner!
Anyone have any instances where something "wrong" like a turn or date or decision turned to be a good thing?
