Royal Gorge Fire Alert!
Hey all Today Has been the hottest day yet, and The Gorge is on fire, as well as a few other places.  in Colorado. Ask to Just keep safety for these people that live near the fire in your prayers and thoughts.

I am 15 miles away from this, but its blowing away from my house.
I don't think we have anything to worry about but still.

there are a ton of horse Ranches around here.

So keep Colorado in your thought and prayers.

We have at least 5 now. One of my friends in Black Forest has lost his house. A few more have been evacuated. It was over 100 today and very windy.

Scared for my friends and hope they are able to contain the fires soon. I should have been in bed hours ago but I'm worried.

it sucks this year is gonna be like last, and it looks like the fires are along the I25 corridor when mapped, you got the royal gorge fire, pueblo fire,  rocky mountain national park fire, one near littleton, black forest fire, one by castle rock and one down by walsenburg. i was hoping there was enough moisture  over the winter and spring, but apparently not.

forgot about the air force academy but that one is fifty percent contained

I am so sorry, I wish I could do something for them..and all the people that lost a house so far.
Lets hope these fires get controlled. Just praying it doesn't her any hotter today and hoping for rain. Canon City has asked people that they use as little water as possible.

Keeping ya updated. We now have 6 fires. The royal Gorge Bridge is still standing as well as the theater. But everything else is gone. Some of the animals died. Its out of control  there are 150 mean trying to put it out. and canon city was asked to use as little water as possible.

my sister says its arson, that the guy from california is what hit the royal gorge/canon city and now there's a larger evac area posted for northern colo springs

I was just outside and it's terribly smoky! I'm closest to the Rocky Mountain fire. Can barely breathe over here. Yuck!

I remember the terrible smoke filled air when we had a bunch of fires on the mountains around Tucson a while back. >.< Keep your lungs safe guys!
