Opening triple thick?

So I had a little mishap with my triple thick and ended up closing the container before I cleaned off the threads... and now it's glued shut.  Has anyone had this issue before and how did you get it open?  I need it for a trade and really don't want to buy a new one as this one is barely used...

Run it under some hot water, I've had this happens so many different times it's not even funny!

I have a special thing to open jars, it has 3 diff sizes, and I always glue my triple thick and my modpodge shut, so always use the jar opener. really easy to use, bought it at the super market!
