As long as they are your ponies you can pretty much do as you please of course Honestly I dont see anyone particularly hard to find there although some may be less common than others that is certainly true. However, no one runs to super expensive prices. As you say while in the pictures they may look recoverable if they all have significant issues then what looks like an easy fix may not be and therefore what we are judging as a restorable pony could perhaps be past the point of no return [for some collectors anyway].If you are worried you can try trading some of the ponies you have for ponies which are completely bait - that may mean you can get more baits and people who wish to try and restore your ponies can have that chance.
might want to check diva pose Pinkie Pie for the double hoof heart.She's an oddity that collectors (like me) are looking for.

Mint Dreams!!!! Definitely don't bait her! And Bubbles! Crazy hair just needs conditioning and salon time. Random marks come off with sunfading. I don't see a single pony in there that actually is "bait"!
