Hi folks, hoping you have some tips for cleaning glittery shs without taking off their glitter.

What have you tried and tested?

Usually when I clean a pony with glitter symbols, I very gently brush over the body with a toothbrush and Dawn dish soap. This isn't fool proof though, since so very often the body stains won't come off, and I'm afraid to scrub any harder thanks to the glitter. Unfortunately, I don't really think there's much that we can do when it comes to cleaning glitter ponies, because it's very difficult to clean around the glitter. :/ I'm still going to be stalking this thread though to see if anyone has any other ideas or techniques. As for now though, I would recommend just giving their bodies a light, light scrub.

I've had a Glory in an oxy bath for two weeks now, and the glitter symbols still look good :)

I've only cleaned G1s with "normal" glitter symbols, not symbols covering the entire bodies. However, I have found that it's very practical to use baby wipes and toothpicks. You wrap a part of the baby wipe around the toothpick and that way you can clean very close to the symbols. I've done this to clean around Gusty's leaves and in between the sun and cloud on Sunlight for instance.

I agree with either baby wipes if its surface dirt or an old fashioned wash. Magic eraser will remove the glitter unfortunately but I have used it on glittery ponies in the past in order to clean up areas without the glitter areas - however you have to be super careful.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
