Thanks so much for posting that link and for the info .. I've been researching ;).

I noticed doing searches on google for price checks I got an archived site .. too bad, it seems there is good info there. I don't know the history, I wondered about that.

If you mean the archived Arena, I'm not completely sure why it broke down because I wasn't around at that time. A mod or a long-time member could probably tell you more.

Price checks from a few years ago are not necessarily accurate, even though they might give you a general idea. The Nirvana market, as well as the pony market in general, has its trends and a better way to get up-to-date info on HTF pony prices would be to request a PC here and/or look for sold auctions on ebay. bluerose's guide is another useful resource for prices.

Are you referring to the Archived old Arena? We had to upgrade the database and it wasn't all portable to the new one so had to be left behind as read-only.

However, as mul-ta said, prices do fluctuate. This is especially true of Nirvanas as in addition to the ebb and flow of popularity that all ponies get, there is the ebb and flow of supply as new locations open up or an influx becomes more scarce. For example Argentina and Greek ponies were quite cheap MOC for a while a long time ago, but as the supply has dried up, prices have of course increased, substantally in some cases.

Interesting, thanks for the background. Yes, I figured the prices really fluctuate looking at what is happening on eBay. It's always fascinating to see what the market does in that respect. Thanks again!
