Seeking tips for a weird final touch for a custom
« on: May 19, 2013, 07:38:04 PM »
so I'm in need of a very odd and specific part of my custom. I need a G4 earth filly head that is clear or at least mostly translucent.

I have absolutely no experience with resin, and I don't know of any sort of clay or anyhting that dries translucent.

Anyone have any tips or ideas?

There is translucent polymer clay. I use and recommend Premo.

How clear does it end up? do you have any pics of it?

Well, the thinner it is, the more translucent it ends up. Thicker pieces end up being not very clear at all.

Higher temps will make it more clear but if it cooks for too long it gets chalky. I don't have any pictures of it uncolored to show the translucency, sorry
