The best solution I found to destink is to soak for a couple hours in a solution of liquid fabric softener and water and then leave to dry for a couple days upside down (water likes to stay inside ponies if not upside down). Then she'll smell very nice! :)

Works for me for even the most foul smelling ponies!

Thank you! Does that leave a strong smell?  I use dye free fragrance free everything so will that still work?  Partially cause I have little ones and partially because I get headaches.  :)

Put her in a bag filled with bicarbonate of soda. It will get rid of the smell. X

Thank you! Do you know about how long the destink will take? lol

I think someone said they've used fragrance free fabric softener and it worked fine. It neutralized the odor. And best of all it makes the pony's hair incredibly soft.

Sarah, I have responded through ebay to you and also refunded your money. I honestly do not feel it necessary to post a link to my auction.

I would honestly have appreciated you had waited to start a thread in regards to this without letting me first make it right. Which I did. My ponies come from all over and I do my best to clean them up. I apologized and did what I felt was right, which was refund your money+shipping.

I didn't mean any offense Ponylady! But I didn't want to damage the pony by trying to destink as the rules of any potential return are to return the pony in the same condition it was sent to you.

I'll remove the link as you have requested.

It would be my luck to buy from a mod on ebay and not know it lol.  I'll reissue payment and just keep it.

I do not want repayment sent. I refunded you in good faith and it was my decision to do so. I take great pride in my customer service and I just wanted to make things right with you. I do not want anyone to be unhappy with their purchase, ever.

I do apologize and I completely understand your disappointment. I would question it too. But like I said I wanted to make sure that you were happy in the end. Because that is all that matters to me.  I am probably the easiest seller to deal with on ebay because I know how it can be.

I did contact.  I didn't want a refund unless I couldn't destink, but I thought destinking might make her unreturnable, hence this board asking for advice on the matter.  I've said I'm sorry.  I'm sending the pony back.  I reissued payment.  It wasn't my intention to offend Ponylady, I didn't realize it was her.  I would never quibble with a site mod over condition. I'm not a bad buyer.

Please can we drop this?

Sarah and I have discussed this privately and the issue is resolved.  :)

Sarah do not feel bad for starting the thread, that is what TS is for.  And I do not feel I deserve special treatment because I am a Mod. It is the reason I keep my business separate from the arena. I just felt a little sad and I explained that to you via PM.

But please do not feel bad, I feel bad enough  :( thus trying to do the right thing.
