These ponies are older than the party ponies, which is when the lanard pony line became popular, so I'd say they're the real deal. There's a foal that's flocked in grey with white curly hair, also in a genuine lanard pose- they're the corresponding mommy/baby poses as well, so I'd say they're genuine.*EDIT* Just thought I'd add I got mine 2nd hand in about '92/93.
Hope it's ok if I borrow your thread. I found a brown pony in a lanard mold on ebay. Is it real? Search for "Large Job Lot of Vintage 1980s Hasbro My Little Pony & Accessories" on ebay uk.
...I'm 99% sure I saw a flocked Lanard like that thrifting last week... tell me they aren't highly sought after!

The brown one is a real Lanard.The flocked ones are aswell.I had a grey flocked one with white hair (adult) at one point. But no-one here wanted her so I donated her to charity in the end.
