Sooo, how much did I devalue Snippy?

Okay, last week I found Baby Snippy buried in a thrift store toy bin. I brought her home and cleaned her up, and wrongly removed her head. I didn't understand how the peekaboo heads worked and thought that I had gotten water into her body, when it was really just her neck. The little plug still goes back in, her head can still bob, but I did remove the plastic plug from the vinyl and surely devalued her. Other than that she's basically mint: extremely pink hair, great body, tiny bit of pindot on her ear... Can you tell me how badly I devalued her pulling her head off?

Unless you broke any of the pieces, you should be able to get her back together. I took apart a Snippy who was full of rust on the inside, and she works fine.

I think I may have had to use a bit of glue to put the plastic plug back into the body, but I did get it eventually.

I've cleaned out several gross ones.  I feel they were given more value by cleaning them up so that people actually wanted them.    The pink hair is going to be your major sales draw!

As long as her head isn't stripped (goes all the way around) she should be fine. :o) I've be headed so many peekaboo babies...

I never even realized that their heads are suppose to move. lol.

I do think there are a lot of collectors who will no longer be interested due to her not being in original condition BUT that being said if she has super pink hair and her head still works, I dont think you have devalued her as other people will certainly be interested. You have just perhaps narrowed your potential selling market thats all!
