possibly "restore-stroyed" baby buttons?
« on: May 08, 2013, 09:43:52 AM »
oh, dear. *facepalm*
half ayear ago i got baby buttons in a lot and imidately fell in love with her, didnĀ“t even knewabout her before!
her pure bodycolor and the mane and the symbol, i loved her even if her ear and feet had part missing. (bitten/cut off?)

besides that, she had a pink stain on her shoulder, probably marker.
because she should stay in my collection, i wanted to at least sunfade her an put her out next to the window for about a month or two.  :yikes: :yikes:
i just checked her today and saw that her beautifull tender pink plastik fades to white where it was exposed to the sun most. ;o;
the other side is still nice and pinkish, i could totally pinch me for that!! u.u"

do you have any idea how to handle her now? i have pink rit, but that would also stain her very nice mane, right?  :cloud: what can i  do? shall i sunfade more until the mark is gone and then fade the other side too?
thank you for any advice!!

What a shame! You need to cover every part of the pony except the spot that needs fading. :/

I would probably just leave her as is, maybe still try to fade the one spot (but cover her entire body with tinfoil first). I'm sure she's still adorable!

Hmmm, I've never heard of anyone trying to restore original color back to a pony - just fading unwanted marks.  I'd be hesitant to dye her.

Oh thats a shame :( Unfortunately without checking on them it is always possible for the colour to bleach out. I think it can be surprisingly easy to forget.

Unfortunately any colouring process is going to probably colour the entire pony and with her body being discoloured you could end up with an uneven dye between the lighter sections. She is quite a hard to find pony so honestly I would suggest keeping her the way she is or you could try and fade her out on the other side so you have a more even finish?
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi :hug:
