Can anyone explain Hot Topic Cash?

I wasn't sure if this was the right area to post this... Hot Topic emailed me today telling me to hurry and use my Hot Cash, which I guess I have 1599 points of.  I can't seem to figure out how to use it though. I'm trying to buy online, so I don't have any coupon in hand to use a number off of... and do I have to spend a certain amount to spend any? I'd really like to use it up before it expires, but the site's not really clear about how it works.

You should have some hot cash paper cards that were either attached to your receipt from an in store purchase or from the invoice that was sent with your order. You were given a code on that little paper hot cash card to use during checkout. The code won't be in your account.

Normally when you spend $30 during a certain time you earn a coupon aka. hot cash.  The hot cash can be used when designated on the coupon.  It splits your next $30 in half.  So it's basically 50% your total.
