Do you like having more than one plushie of a particular Pony?

Or do you figure that one plushie per character is enough, even though each company makes different-looking plushies?

I usually only like having one plushie per character, unless there's something really unique and/or appealing about another company's plushie. I wanted a Twilight Sparkle when there wasn't a lot of choice, and I chose the talking one because she seemed the most show-accurate of what was around and also because it just seemed too geekily fun to have Twilight talk and sing to me. I have no particular desire to have another Twilight plush, but I'm collecting the Funrise plushies of the other characters. I may or may not get the Alicorn Twilight plush; I still don't like the idea of her being an alicorn, so I haven't decided whether I'll get any of that merchandise.

On the other hand, I have two Shadow the Hedgehogs because they're vastly different in size and appearance. I just wish my big one was furry. I don't understand why a lot of plushies these days aren't furry. I'm glad the Ponies are!

Pinkie and Rd are my favourites, so I have their fun rise plushes and I also got both of them at build a bear. it was convenient that my favourites came out first, cause now I don't have to worry about "what if I buy this one, and I can't afford my favourite when it comes out?!" Ill probably get the funrises of the the others, but the build a bears are expensive and soo for a pony like Twi I probably wouldn't fork out the dough. But Christmas or birthday prezzies maybe!

Good policy. I am considering that I may get the Build-A-Bear plush of Twilight, if it really entrances me. She's my favorite, so if I really love the job they do with her, I don't think I'd mind having another Twilight plush.

And presents are always awesome! I definitely would be thrilled to have another variety of plush if someone gave it to me. I acquired two of a few characters that way.

I think it depends on how you collect - some people will want to purchase every single release, some will purchase all the releases of the same pony while others will just collect the odd one or two. I am the latter - I am only going to pick up the ones which I like and to be honest I ll probably stick to the same "style" of plush. I like the Aurora plush and other than one BAB Pinkie, those are the only ones I would add to my collection.

There was a prototype by Funrise floating around a while ago...so maybe we can hope!

I've just found a MIB pic of a set of 5 plushies, including Cheerilee so that is promising!

Oh, and Applejack - I wouldn't mind having a whole army of Applejack plushies!

I don't normally do multiples unless they are VASTLY different.  I started buying the smaller funrise plush mostly because I didn't want a bunch of the ten inch size taking up space in my house.  The Build-a-bear had to go and release ponies and now I have big plush ponies anyway.  Luckily, the hubby collects Build-a-bear so it isn't hard to get him to agree to those!
