Funding collection...what's your flavor?

My funds come from selling ponies here (been kinda slow lately; haven't been able to buy from anyone here for months) or the occasional custom request. I never use my bank account for online pony purchases...

I try to sell stuff I make like artwork or crafts on Etsy and clothes and old stuff of mine on Ebay to fund it, but I'm not that active collecting anyway since I can't really afford it. And I don't sell that much either lol. I usually buy a pony or two on my birthday and a few more around Christmas time. Usually it comes out of my bank account, but I try to have everything under control at all times. I wish one day I can actually buy more often

I do a combination of things.  I have an allowance worked into my budget.  I also sell on ebay.  I frequent theft stores and antique shops and usually have decent luck finding ponies.  I'm getting to the point where I have most of the G1 and G3 ponies so I offer what I find in trade to everyone here!  I've gotten a lot of great stuff from trades with people on this forum.  So I fund my collection in multiple ways.

Mine just comes out of my normal budget. As long as the bills are paid and there is money for food, then the rest is fair game.
An expensive pony just means less money to spend on boots.

Well I pay for mine many different ways. I use to pay for them all with a Credit Card. But I put a stop to that!
Now I only buy if I have the extra funds in my checking account or if I have funds my pay pal account. I do not charge anymore......that is how you get yourself in trouble.

First pay off all bills, then grocery shop, throw 20% of whats left over in my savings,  then spend a little on ponies! =) If I cant remember my balance, I use my credit card. I havnt bought anything in a while though since all im after is the Funrise Applejack! =O Might try to find a few masquerade ponies at TRU, need Pinkie and Fluttershy from that set! =)
