Doll Identification Help
« on: April 26, 2013, 12:33:10 PM »
I've found a baby/toddler doll that reminds me a lot of a cabbage patch doll, though I know it isn't a cabbage patch doll. It's entire body is made of cloth -- head and all, and it has long yarn pigtails and a cabbage patch style body.

It looks vintage --- any ideas?

Since you live in TN, its probably one of the handmade cloth Cabbage Patch Dolls  from Babyland Hospital in Cleveland, GA (north of atlanta).

Back in middle school we took a field trip there... I was confused about the tree giving birth to cabbages and such  I really liked the Bunnybees though. LOL

If it is one of the handmade dolls you have found a gem. I have done some reading on them lately and they can cost a pretty penny. Try researching cabbage patch softies and see if thatis what you have. Keep us posted I am really curious for you :)
