How do you organise your hair?
« on: April 06, 2013, 07:31:08 AM »
I have a few different ideas buzzing around for how to organise my MLP hair in our craft room, but I'm not sure which would be better! At the moment everything is just in a box and it's a nightmare finding anything.

I'm torn between small stacked boxes, a hanging swivelling rack (like a shop counter display) or a flat against the wall, wall mounted rack. For both racks I would need to hole punch a hole in the top of every hair bag but that's no big deal.

Show me what you do please :)

I love using a cork board for hair!  I just use push pins, easy to replace and remove, as I need to use the hair.  Organizing it in a rainbow is really fun!  Hopefully hannaliten will post her hair storage, it's epic!!

I box most of the stuff I own up so I also boxed up my pony hair :D

It's sorted by colors but I always have to pull a bunch out before I find the right color.

I use both a rotating rack (shop display) and a clear storage organizer drawer. The drawer is for my mohair and other types of hair that are too bulky to put on the rack :)

I use a corkboard, too. But I'm really bad about putting hair back when I'm done, haha.

Yes, corkboards are very convenient for hair storage. I have 2 long ones mounted on the back of my craft room door.

I'd seen that before and wondered how you did it Hannaliten. Thanks everybody, I was thinking about cork board vs fixed hooks and I've decided that as long as I can actually reach the wall easily enough (my desk is very deep) then I will go down the corkboard route :)
