Personally, I wouldn't as I think she looks too good to deflock but it's your pony and your decision. :)

I'd deflock her! Her face is really rubbed, and there are patches on her body that look pretty worn down to the glue. She does look like she'll be a stubborn deflock though. Trading with current shipping prices JUST for that pony would likely be more then she's even worth.

*shameless plug* If anyone wants a decent fifi with very very minimal rubs but has some yellowing, drop me a PM. I still have an extra girl around. :)

She looks pretty great, honestly.

I deflocked a Paradise and still regret it.

Something like this has to be down to personal opinion but if you are hesitating, why dont you trade her to someone for their lesser quality Fifi? You get a deflock candidate and your trade partner gets a nicer SS Fifi for their collection?

I see this point... and I love it. So if anyone reading this would want to do that, please PM me (Sorry I know this isn't a trade thread, but, still)...

I feel all the "no's" are what I was looking for. I know that the Angel and Bangles I deflocked for myself were also NOT deflock worthy ponies, but Angel was a grail (NSS Angel), and Bangles always bothered me because she was "Flesh" colored with her flocking, but a beautiful pink under it, so... but then I looked at my own Bangles and realized that she had similar rubs (thankfully my flocked one is nicer than the one I deflocked).

Fifi may stay flocked and go into my store to find a new home, or onto trades to maybe find one I CAN deflock. I am dying to have her deflocked but, I don't want to take away a SS pony that other collectors would love to have in their collection. As mentioned... there ARE a finite number of SS ponies... deflocking them takes those away. Still I'll never hesitate to deflock certain bad ponies, heh - Ribbon, Lofty, Truly, Magic Star... because they seem so common. Fifi  -I just keep seeing her around $20 and that seems like a lot at the moment to "spend" on a deflocker... my personal Fifi has much nicer flocking but is missing her forelock... so, I kept them both because one has nice flock and one has nice hair but that needs to change and I need to either deflock or sell/trade.

Thank you all for the input. It's important for me to understand the general thinking behind other collectors with ponies. Sometimes I run into so many "overly picky" collectors that I just think any pony who's not 100% mint isn't worth trying to sell (Sorry picky collectors, I am one too, so I'm not trying to down-tote on pickyness!! Not at all! I totally understand wanting to have a certain thing a certain way!)

I'd be more inclined to sponge bath her and reflock her bald patches :)

no offense taken. :) I see what you're saying. I'm not baiting less then perfect ponies, if I'm too lazy to do detailed descriptions or feel they're not worth the effort to sell one at a time I just group them together and sell as a lot to someone who will appreciate them- people LOVE those buys and they go quick!

Good luck finding a deflockable Fifi, I'm sure you'll find a bargain soon enough! And this thread has also reassured me I'm not underly picky, at least when it comes to so softs.

 to all -I do appreciate all this info. I think I might try to find a swap for her so I can feel less guilty about deflocking. If she was way more yellowed, or had a lot more rubs to her feet and sides perhaps I would just bite the bullet. But I'm now glad I asked here for opinions because... I think I might've had another experience like Bangles, where I LOVE her deflocked, but now I feel bad about deflocking her because I could've probably sold her...
