Sand Animals anyone?

Sand animals will eventually get holes in them because sand is made of sharp little bits and pieces that wear their way through the fabric.
It's a pity there aren't tiny little round plastic stuffing pellets available to replace the sand. They would have to be an eigth of the size usual pellets I use in plush toys.

I had one when I was younger. He was the prettiest shade of blue. It was a lizard.

I remember seeing those when I was a kid, but I don't think I had one then.

I got this one last year, it was a gift from a friend. He has really nice colours ^^

I have about 90 various shades and species. I still collect the non glittery ones. I also have bats, newts, spiders,snakes and scorpions.

My biggest one is a huge green lizzard called Iggy ( short for ignatius) If you send me a pic of your lizard I may be able to adopt her

I had a few as a kid but I donated them long ago , I do not miss them.

I've got a rainbow-and-sparkly dragon somewhere round here... I think there's a black bat in my son's toybox (unless it got donated?), and a couple years back, I gave a beige-patterned bunny one to my mum.   One of my favourite local boutiques is all imported stuff, and they occasionally stock these.

If I ever trip over ours, I'll post pics.

Oh I randomly found two of the ones I had as a kid, a shark and a seashorse, seems I didn't donate them after all.

I'm sort of fond of sand animals.  I still have one I bought about 10+ years ago, a brown frog/toad with circular patterns of white dots that look like warts.  I named him Yosemite Sam, for the character who says, "Great horny toads!"  I think a horntoad is actually a lizard though; didn't know that at the time. . . .

I remember those. They were neat. I think the one I had was a spider.
