UPDATE EDIT !! I found the problem. The colour I used as a base was a mix between two brands and apparently one of the colours I mixed was too oily for plastic. That's why it didn't dry to begin with. Also, I will be getting Mod Podge to seal the pony afterwards (didn't know it existed here in the UK).

I painted a fakie with acrylics a while ago but it never dried. Obviously, I had to make it worse by varnishing it on top, so I had to remove it all today because it was all sticky.

I am willing to try again, since the bait is still okay to be used. Fakie customizers, I need your help !! How should I paint the pony? I won't use acrylics again, should I try using something like RIT dye? Would spray paint work as well?

It's just like the pink one. The plastic is a bit more softer and squishy than the real MLPs, but the material seems similar enough to not have any problems.

hmmm I'm not sure why it wouldn't take the paint properly but I've never tried working with those ones either. Maybe try dying the next one?

Do you know what grade of acrylics that you were using? Some kinds of acrylics react differently than other kinds. (I've always had terrible luck using artist grade acrylics, so I stick to craft grade.)

I use craft acrylics, too. I'm trying something now and will update this if it works
