How much should I expect to pay for certain TAFs and other G1s?

Before I make up any kind of Wanted list, I decided first of all I should find out what my most sought-after Ponies tend to go for. I don't want to make up a Wanted list and then discover that they're actually out of my price range. That wouldn't be fair to the sellers.

I prefer all Ponies to be without marks if at all possible, and for the hair not to be cut, frizzed, etc. I don't know if it's too tall an order for some Ponies or not (especially white ones).

The ones I'm seeking the most strongly are:

Sugarberry
Sweet Tooth
Milky Way
Love Melody
Gusty
Gingerbread

I'm also interested in:

Fifi
Up, Up, and Away
Firefly
Moondancer
Majesty
Lemon Treats
Mint Dreams

Sugarberry is my ultimate Holy Grail Pony; I've longed for her ever since I was old enough to look at the pictures on my Dancing Butterflies' card.

You're in luck your taste isn't so expensive. Numbers are approximate...

Mint Dreams $20+
Lemon Treats $15
Gusty, Gingerbread $10
Sugarberry, Love Melody $7-10
Sweet Tooth, Up Up and Away $5-7
TAF Fifi, Firefly, Moondancer, Majesty, Milky Way  <$5

Mint Dreams and Lemon Treats can go higher at times and if you are condition picky. Mint Dreams has passed $40 sometimes. There are two completely different G1 Fifis so I assumed you want the TAF and not the SS.

Yes I would agree pretty much with these prices although I personally have seen Mint Dreams go lower than Lemon Treats. But saying that the market can be odd at times so sometimes you just have to wait out a bargain! If purchasing through eBay be wary of BIN as sometimes these can be over-priced. Auctions and of course the Arena itself are the best ways to go

Also I'm presuming the ponies you are after are normal release and not nirvana's, as these can go for quite a bit more!!

Thats an awesome starter list for collecting some of the prettiest ponies there...I love Sugarberry as well

Sugarberry - $12
Sweet Tooth - $7-8
Milky Way - $5-6
Love Melody - $7-8
Gusty - $15 - she can end up all over the place in price to be honest as she is super sought after - you ll often see her up at $25+ but if you are patient you ll get her for this kind of price or perhaps lower
Gingerbread - $10-12 - this price assumes she is in nice condition, she is notorious for age marks and cancer so you often see her going for lower because she has such issues or sometimes higher because she is super white and has no problems

I'm also interested in:

Fifi - $4
Up, Up, and Away
Firefly - $6-7 - the less faded her hair the better she will do in price
Moondancer - $8-10 - how white she is will affect her price, as a little creamy and she ll be the bottom end or under this estimate and white she could go higher
Majesty - $7
Lemon Treats - $15-16
Mint Dreams - $20-22

Hathorcat: Yikes, poor Gingerbread. I'm curious, why is she specifically so notorious for having those problems? Is she older than any of the others?

We're not too sure why she's so prone to it, probably the type of plastic used.

Congrats on starting your collection with a budget in mind!    Many of us just fling ourselves into it and realize that our houses are filled with little plastic ponies when it's too late to get rid of them.

Glory can be a little all over in price mainly as she is really prone to symbol loss and can often end up cream/yellow rather than white. Nice condition, nice glitter and whiteish, she can sit around the $8-10.

Its not an age thing for Gingerbread as a couple of the other ponies you have listed were manufactured and released earlier than her. Its just down to her manufacture; age marks are caused by a break down in the plastic and as this pony is prone to age marks more than many others, her chemical make up is simply a little more prone to breaking down.
