Isn't the one without magnet harder to find that the regular? she's one that came from the sing and dance Pinkie Pie special bonus pack. (there was another pony right? but I can't remember who??)

I just got the magnetless one, she has a white cover on the hoof and the body is bluer in color.

Oh, I forgot about that one! Yes, there was a Target exclusive, the big sing and dance pinkie pie with two bonus ponies, sew and so and thistle whistle (I think they had some dress up accessories too?)

That thistle whistle was darker blue, as you said, and was not scented. Funny, I had no trouble finding that set, just the single.

Are both versions of thistle whistle 'sought after' or is it just the Target exclusive?

On the reef it states that the sought after thistle is the scented one with the magnet.

Some of that rare link is a little loose to be honest and has changed a little over the years but its still accurate enough. But the thing to remember especially in G3 is that just because something is sought after doesnt then make it expensive and doesnt even make it rare.

I personally dont agree that Thistle Whistle could be classed as rare or as expensive but she is a popular pony - the general lack of pegasus in the G3 line always means they can be a little more popular than others. So I am thinking thats the only reason she is included there.

Gotta say I love Thistle Whistle. I normally detest the combo of red/yellow/blue but it tends to look good on ponies.

I love her too, and recently gave her to a friend's daughter... glad to know that while she's sought-after she's not extremely rare/expensive!

I really like Thistle Whistle, which is odd for me because I don't like blue/red together I sold my MIB one years ago for like $4 or $5 She annoyed me in the show so I started to dislike the toy. I changed my mind though and regret selling her I did buy one on ebay for 99 cents, but she has missing plugs and her hair is very dry. I'm looking for a minty one now

For some reason its the scented one only that was the sought after one. Keep in mind this was like 2009. The non-scented was sold with the giant expensive Pinkie Pie so you'd think there would be less of her but some story went that somebody was selling these ones in bulk overseas. She was just well-liked and people had a hard time coming by her in store, probably because she was pretty so she sold faster. She became the Red Roses for a bit with people jacking up her price for no reason other than profit. She's definately gone back down to a more normal price now so don't worry too much.
