Shipping issue

I am buying a non pony item for a swap on Ebay.  Payment was processed on the 8th of Feb.  I waited like 5 days to see if it would be marked shipped.  So around oh I don't know the 15th I sent a message asking why it hadn't shipped yet and when it would be shipped.  I got no response but today they marked it shipped but they marked it shipped on the 9th.  I seriously doubt they shipped it on the 9th and just forgot I think more likely they waited to ship till I started raising the issue.  So... is there anything I can do about this? It's free shipping so I can't ding their stars for it.  I'm worried it won't arrive in time for my swap (it's overseas).

I don't think there is a lot you can do if the shipping was free.  Short of filing item not received in you 45 day window. Total bummer... I have been through this with swaps. What country is it coming from?

It's in Taipei, Taiwan.

That may take 3 weeks max as I have bought from that country.  That would be the max tho.  Do you think that maybe they shipped it earlier and just forgot to upload? I have a hard time communicating with my sellers from that country.  I have found tho that the sellers I have bought from are usually very dependable. Its just nervy to buy from there.  The time difference and their work hours could be an issue as a lot of them have very long hour first jobs.  Ebay is sometimes a side job.  Lets hope the sipping date was honest.

Ugg..that's very frustrating Sarah.  Tula is right though it can take up to three weeks coming from Taiwan.  We have a friend who married a girl from there and her family is still there. She has her sister order stuff for me all the time and that is about the time range for it to get here.

But the whole thing with them not marking it shipped is rather odd.  They hopefully just forgot to mark it.  I would maybe send them another message and request that they please let you know when it was for sure shipped? Because like was mentioned if it was for free shipping you will not be able to ding there stars but you will be able to ding them for communication if they do not get back to you.  Also you will be able to leave a negative or neutral and mention the fact that they did not ship in the time that was stated.

You can always note they were slow to update the tracking info in your FB, but that it arrived safe, was packaged well, and did not suffer damage and was represented for what it was.  and yes, stars for communication!

Thanks everyone! 3 weeks will be cutting it close but I think I'll be ok. I hope it gets here quickly and easily.

I agree with what everyone has said about the shipping time, so i dont have anything extra to add ATM   other than that  I hope that your parcel arrives on time for the swap and I hope that they were being honest about the shipping date
