G3 what would you do?

I love my g1's and would never ever sell them. I collected over 100 g3's when they wrre in stores and deboxed them myself so I could enjoy them. At the time I loved them and had a lot of fun collecting them. over the past couple of weeks I had been toying with the idea of selling them off. I realize they aren't generally worth much money..which is fine because I wanted more space and figured some other people might enjoy them more. Well tonight I was looking at brags and came across pictures of g3's and for some reason started to doubt my decision. I know people will say put them away for awhile and see if u miss them but they have been boxed up for years already. What are your thoughts..should i debox them and see if they still bring me joy..would you sell them..or would you just leave them alone for another year or so and decide then lol. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks xo

well why not birng otu a few of your favorits..   and  then see what happens? if they  still bring you joy then keep a few.  or serpeate them..  sell the ones you dont click with.   but  take it easy.  pull some out see how you feel adn go formt here.

I'd go through them and separate them into three piles: Keep, Maybe, Sell. Those in the keep pile you can display if you have room, and those in the maybe pile you can put away for a while to see how you feel. If you miss them, keep them!

That's what I do whenever I'm weeding out a collection.

I agree with grouping them. I sometimes go through my G3s and pick out those that are too similar, like, a glittery and matt version of the same pony - i keep one. Same pony in multiple poses - do I need them all? etc.
Maybe if you cut down your G3s to just the unique ones you love you'd feel like keeping them

Good luck! There is nothing more stressful than deciding if and what to sell pony-wise.

I love the idea of dividing into a yes, no, maybe bundle! I think I ll give that a shot myself at some point.

I had this same decision only on a smaller scale as my collection was about 45 loose and 25boxed. I ended up selling my loose G3s to a friend with a little girl (for cheap since it was a friend) and I held on to my boxed ones for a while and then eventually sold them on Craigslist once I realized I really was ready to say good-bye. I was lucky to have a friend who's daughter was into ponies as I got a bit of my $ back while also being able to see a little girl enjoy playing with them! The only one I regret is Waterfire... so perhaps a yes, no, maybe bundle would be a great start!
