Non Pony -- Glenn Danzig Charcoal WIP

If this is in the wrong board, I'm sorry. I've posted non-pony art in Off Topic before and it always gets moved here, so I think this is the right place.

So, I haven't drawn a human being in well over a year, and I've never used charcoal before, so I decided to take a risk and drawn a person with charcoal. I picked my favourite singer, Glenn Danzig c:

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I'm brand new to using charcoal so if you have any tips for me, I'd love to hear them. When the drawing is totally finished, I'll post another picture.

For somebody who started using charcoal that is pretty good. I'm not so great when it comes to charcoal, but i would try to build the arms a bit less softer, at least in the part where the shoulder connects with the hair.

Well done and yes you are in the right place. It has been ages since I played with that medium, the noise of it on paper was something I could not handle, so sadly no help.  I would try to get just a bit more tone in the hair so it does not look like such a black mass though.  Great job, and love the expression.

He was the first frontman of the Misfits, and the frontman of Danzig. He's probably my favourite musician of all time.

It's done now pretty much, but I screwed his tattoo up really badly... I couldn't find a good reference for it... Until I looked up on my wall and realized I had the perfect ref hanging on my wall... *facepalm* And now I can't erase it either.
I'll post the finished version later today.
