crystals for G2 eyes, + your favourite trick for ressurrecting icky ponies?

My ponies arrived today and I was wondering if such a thing as replacement crystals  existed? Also, is there a certain "sure fire" way you use to make your ponies presentable again? I use very hot water, a sonic toothbrush (honestly, it even gets out pen marks) with a non-abrasive tooth whitening gel, and a pressure steamr (the ones they use to blast crud out from around the kitchen sink). I found it works really well to set the pony's roots to go in a new direction!

Swarovski Elements flatback rhinestones are a perfect match for G2s.  I've only ever used 3mm but I've heard that 2.5mm fits better.

As for cleaning grubby ponies, toothbrush and toothpaste, magic erasers, acetone on non-painted areas.  That sort of thing.

Yes, 2.5 works great.  A power toothbrush huh?  Might have to try that.

Wow good luck with your restores! A lot of my childhood collection was G2s since they were quite big in the Uk and Im a child of the 90's lol.

Yeah Swarovski crystal elements work best I'm hoping to replace a few of mine one day when I'm not restoring my G1s!

I've never used an electronic toothbrush! I might have to try that myself too! I usually just use some washing up liquid, magic eraser, soft tooth brushes, fabric softener, some liquid detergent, shampoo, conditioner and sometimes vanish (Oxy clean) depending on what pony I'm restoring as some ponies its best not to use it on them! Oh, it works wonderfully! I also have a different electronic (cheaper) version that spins, so I'll give that a try. I have arthritis, so scrubbing can be pretty painful after a while. If I can't get it out with the sonic, it ain't coming out!
