Original mlp concept art, what is it worth?

I'm thinking about selling some of my collection to pay the bills of my real life pony. And one of my price possessions is an original concept artwork from the G2 series.

On the front is a copy of the sketch/lineart with the name of the artist and the date (5/14/97)

On the inside is the original gorgeous watercolour painting (with protective sheet in the picture but this can be lifted up too, I never removed the painting from this folder, this is how I got it so I wanted to keep it like this)

This was given to me during my trip to the United States with a friend who's uncle works at Hasbro, I got to see the studio in Rhode Island and everything so it was an awesome trip .
I believe the concept for this was rejected, I can't find any actual playsets but I don't know a whole lot about G2's. These artworks where actually thrown out in the trash but the man I got them from saved them cause he thought it was a waste to throw them out, he had a few more and also of other toys (he has a higher function in the company so is not just some random employee that stole stuff or something like that), I got to choose one to keep and I liked this one best because of the colours and details.
It was always stored in a dark closet and I also never kept in the daylight so from what I can tell there are no discolourations, at least not in the 5 years I have owned this.
The whole thing is 10 5/8" by 12" , the paper the painting is on is 8 1/2" by 11" .

So now for my question; what would something like this be worth if I decide to sell it?
And would you recommend putting it up on ebay or do a private sale like on forums?

I have absolutely no I idea what it could be worth because I have never seen anything like it for sale before, only some cell sheets from the tv-show occasionally but those seem to be more common than concept art from any franchise. So I do think it's really unique and rare, specially since they destroyed most of the original works, but as an artist myself perhaps it seems more valuable to me than to others? Would there even be any interest?

I have no idea on value, but its BEAUTIFUL. I'm sure you could get a pretty penny.

It really is beautiful.  I wonder how much other artwork ended up in the trash and not saved.  I have no idea on a price though.

I don't think it really will be possible to pin a value on it to be honest - because it is probably pretty unique.

Yes, its not going to sell as high as G1 artwork but its still going to have a lot of people wishing to own it.

I think it would be unfair to you to put an initial price on it and you would be best to auction it - probably with a minimum reserve you are comfortable with.

Personally I would auction it here as if it finishes high you have no final valuation fee but if you sell it on ebay you will get a much wider audience.

It truly is a beautiful OOAK piece of memorabilia

I would say only sell if it you really have too as you will never own it again

If you were to sell I would do an auction on the arena I am sure there will be alot of potential buyers on here x
