I have a couple of really expensive comissioned customs in hard plastic sea thru shoe containers, they were like $3each at a cheap shop, only bought one to try it out, an so far its working well, it has 2 holes in it for air, but i keep that side at the back and so far so good. only wish i bought more, Ill have to load a pic later.

That sounds neat! The plastic cases I bought are actually for Beanie Babies and they work well....just wish Beanie Babies were still popular so I can get more for cheap lol

Unfortunately my collection has been bathed in dust. I have no protection for them and some are so high up that I cannot reach them. I pick them up sometimes and brush them off, but it would take ages to dust them all off. And on top of it all, I am very lazy. LOL

I've seen at least one person display a single pony in an individual glass box.  Does anyone know if these are for sale somewhere or if they are something that person probably had custom made?

Try a sports collectibles store or websites. I've seen a couple Rapunzel's displayed in glass cases meant to hold an autographed basketball. They sell clear plastic ones too. :D But they also have clear cases for baseballs (would fit a baby pony) or hockey pucks.

Display case boxes are super popular within the toy collecting community - there are quite a few websites who supply single boxes like this. Such boxes were super popular when Beanies were popular so usually if you search for something like Beanie Baby collector display boxes on Google you should turn up stores which sell within your country/state.

When I dust my room, I kind of try to go along the front of the shelf.  My ponies are packed in a 3ft shelf and a skinnier shelf about the same height.  I have my ponies arranged by pose and I have a bookshelf divider thing to keep my original six standing up.  I really don't want to take my ponies off the shelf and dust, because that means I have to put them back.  :lookround:

Thank you for the great ideas. I never would have thought to check a sports store and I forgot about those beanie baby boxes. I used to see those everywhere.

Your best price choice is going to be those DollySafe boxes (link was given on pg 3) - versus glass cases... I've looked at our local craft store which carries display cases for sports items (and I'm sure their prices are too high) but they are FAR more expensive than those DollySafe boxes... unless you are getting just a couple for your prizes pieces (as mentioned), it probably wouldn't be cost effective to try and purchase all sports-memorabilia glass displays...

With so many ponies/playsets (over 1500 items now) dusting is just completely impractical for me, although those clear pvc covers over the shelving units look pretty good, that would work on the shelves I have.

I ponies will get cleaned and dusted if I ever move them or pack them up for storage but for now they'll just have to get a bit dusty!

Jem ;)

Thanks!  I'm only looking to get one or two, but I'm bookmarking that dollysafe link too!
