So how do you fix the legs?
« on: January 14, 2013, 07:06:37 AM »
So there is this new store near one of the thrift stores I go to, and they sell items that were broken, returned, damaged, etc. from other stores.  For $1.99, I found Signature Draculaura in the box (just missing umbrella & clip for stand) BUT the band that holds her legs on is broken.  Is it possible to attach her legs back on?  I wish it was as easy as the CAMs!

From the tutorials I have seen, it is pretty easy. You just need something to get new elastic through the hole in her hips, then you tie it off. Do a youtube or google search for how to restring monster high dolls, and Im sure something will turn up. I wish I could remember where I saw the tutorial.

Thanks both of you!  I will look that tutorial up when I get home tonight.  Where would I buy elastic?  Craft store like Hobby Lobby or Michaels?

EDIT:  I think this is the video

You should be able to find the elastic almost anywhere. Any sewing type store will be SURE to have it. But I have even seen elastic in grocery stores :)

That'll fix an entire kickline of Draculauras ! Now I'm picturing Radio City Music hall, fulla glittering, high-kicking Draculauras ! (wanders off humming 'One')

Good luck, and be sure to show her off here when you've finished fixing her !
