Sealers

I was curious as to what sealers most people use. I'm trying to finish my first custom and just need this last bit of information. Thanks.

A lot of us swear by Testors Dullcote aerosol sealer.  It gives a nice matte finish that doesnt take away from your design and dries smooth and evenly
~Feel free to remind me to leave you feedback!  I'm forgetful!~

Mod podge glossy for shiny eyes and other stuff that needs to be shiny, Aleene's matte varnish for other stuff. Paint needs to be thoroughly dry for that last one, though, or it gets sticky.

I'm another Dullcote fan.  I started out using Mod Podge, but switched after the first few I'd made.  I use Triple thick to gloss eyes and symbols.

The only dullcote i can find is the aerosol version. Will that affect me when i paint the eyes and cutie mark over it?

Nope, that's what I use.  I tend to paint everything first, then seal, then gloss whatever needs to be glossed.

Well, I don't want to have to repaint the entire thing if I mess up the eyes so I was going to seal the body first and then paint over that.

I usually don't seal eyes/cutie marks :x I use decent paint and I figure if it somehow chips I could always repaint it. xD
Since I last did any painting on a brushable pony, I got some Mr. Super clear  which is awesome - I'd probably seal them now that I have something to do it with. I kinda had to when it came to finishing off a blind bag pony I repainted repainted though. xD Wasn't taking any risks for that, since it was a gift and took me forever to paint!
Can be kinda hard to get, but it's good stuff. xD
