Indian Minty

I have a Minty marked as made in India. Were there many ponies made there?
She's not in the best condition. I rescued her from another collector who was going to throw her out!
I often display her wearing Wigwam's headdress

There are only 6 ponies from India: Blossom, Blue Belle, Butterscotch, Cotton Candy, Minty, & Snuzzle. They are all extremely hard to find & sell for several hundred dollars a piece. Minty is one of the rarest, valued at $400+... good job on saving her from being thrown in the trash!!!

I think indian ponies have dropped in price in recent years, the last pony i saw was a butterscotch and she went for $150 in good condition, generally they are $200-250, but minty is one of the harder to find ones

Congrats on finding a Minty from India. She's truly a rare find. Glad you saved her. If you want to clean her up, there are some great tutorials in the forums on cleaning ponies.

I cleaned her up the best I could. Someone had decorated her in pink highlighter on her ear tips, hooves and face. Oxy-10 got rid of most of it, but she still has some discolouration.
Here eyes are really nice. The paint is a bit glossier than a Hong Kong pony. She is also a lot squishier than normal, though not a squishy as my weird coloured Peachy.
And for some reason, she smells faintly of candy.

hah that was me that snagged that butterscotch... yep, I think $200-$300 is the range I've seen, but I've not seen a Minty before

oh man = cannot believe someone as a collector would throw a pony out!  So super glad you rescued and restored = treasure her forever!

(if you ever do think you'd part with her, there are plenty of minty fans here to auction her off to = I'd be interested)
