Pat. Pend. Stamp on Pony Friends Variation? (PIC HEAVY)

Hi all. Another variation question from the super nerdy me... who's always really interested in small variations in ponies and such.

SO. This time. I have two Kingleys. Everything looks the same to me. Except.... One has Pat Pend on his lifted foot, looks less like the "normal" stamping on the other foot.

I know it's hard to see on his feet, the pink background I have has proven to be challenging with the dim light in my pony room... so, I circled it. You can kinda see it... sorry!

And here's photos of the rest of them... like... unless I'm crazy and missing something, why... why are these different like this?!

The only small thing I see is a slight difference in the yellow color of his freckles/whisker dots... but that's easily attributed to slight fading... so, that was my guess on that.

This kind of thing drives me nuts, but I always need to find an answer... So, thank you in advance!

Non Pat Pends... usually like Germany or Spain or something?

Probably European...many things were released later there. Resulting is an already acquired Patent. I think. Ha.

Big Brothers without Pat Pend are considered German. Only six were made like that, because the first three were not re-released later...

I don't have the full second edition set yet, but the ones I do were US bought and don't have the pat pend stamp. Kingsley was re-released so the one you have missing the pat pend is likely the re-release of her.

I agree with FantasticFirefly - its a first and second release thing. Into Year 6 all ponies lost their pat pend marks as it hadnt been applicable for some time.

Kingsley was released in the first set of Pony Friends and then again with the second set. So your "pat pend" version is the first set [which came with Creamsicle, Spunky, etc] and your one without the pat pend is from the second set [which came along with Cutesaurus, Cha Cha, etc]

Were all the friends Re-Released and therefore had 2 versions like this?
