Face-up critique needed please!! (CAM sea monster)

I hate making suggestions because I'm afraid of hurting someone's feelings:(  Who am I to say anything about someone else's work?

But I do want to try and help!  Maybe you need another set of eyes:)

What I did was compare this one to the last ones you were proud of, and see how they differ.  Her eyes look even to me, so I don't think that's it.  I think her iris' are a bit too long?  They take up more room on the Sea Monster than they do on the other ghouls you've done recently.  But maybe you did that on purpose, because she's from Lagonna's backround and you wanted big fish eyes?

If that's the case, then maybe the bright eye shadow is playing tricks on you and making you see things that aren't there:)

I think she fits in nicely with the rest of the bunch!

You might want to move her irises/pupils a little bit closer inwards. The whites on the outer corners of the eyes should always be the same width or wider than the whites on the inner corners, more so for MH dolls because their eye molds tend to sort of "wrap around" their heads. Skelita and a lot of the Cleos are sort of an extreme example of this white balance being off.

Beyond that, small details like the eyelid line, a slightly thicker upper lid line, and maybe a light grey shadow on the top part of the eyeballs might be an easy way to add a little more depth and detail.

The thing that looked only slightly "off" to me was the white highlight under the right pupil is bigger than the other eye's highlight but it doesn't bother me. I think your face-ups are cute!

The latest one, that is the sea monster, is quite nice.  All elements come together well and the result is adorable.

I do this with my art all the time, just flip an eye in photoshop and it shows what's wrong. The white highlight is in two different places, and you would not believe how much difference it makes if you make them even. As you can see, the shape of her eyes are different as well, the left "shorter and wider", the right "taller".

The most difficult part is always the eyes, so don't sweat it.

Thank you for the feedback guys, I have SO much still to learn about doll eyes...it's soooo much easier on ponies, where their eyes are on opposite sides of their heads!!

Well I don't wanna say cause you might have did it on purpose and I dunno me not being anywhere near any expert on anything I hate to critique anyone cause i am afraid i will upset someone and especially you cause girl your work is amazing! I love all your girls, but I think the sea monster is the prettiest, I love the hair blend the freckles,everything. The thing  I noticed about her eye though is the little white dot in the black part of the eye on the right(well my right) side,the way it's done makes it look like one eye is looking forward and the other is looking to the right.. Am I wrong and she is just at a angle?
